UNTITLED ENTERTAINMENT and KittyWu Records are proud to announce the Singapore debut of one of the UK’s best up-and-coming indie acts on August 11, 2010.

Placing third in the BBC’s Sound of 2010, DELPHIC is the antidote to the bog-standard indie band sound and electro dance acts that have lost their souls.  Hailing from musically-rich Manchester, their solidly-crafted debut album Acolyte was described as “on kissing terms with magnificence” by the Independent, with a seamless blend of raw guitars and razor-sharp synths.  The quirky quarter’s dynamic stage presence has electrified crowds at the festival circuit throughout the UK and Europe, with their brilliant fusion of dancefloor electronics and rock music raved about as the future of pop music.

Playing for the first time in Singapore, DELPHIC will bring on a fascinating mid-summer night’s gig not to be missed, not to be forgotten.

Date: 11 August 2010
Venue: Zouk, Singapore

The word ‘Delphic’ is defined as ‘obscure’ and ‘ambiguous’ in the English dictionary, but there is nothing obscure and ambiguous about the Manchester-based band, who’ve chosen to call themselves just that. The trio comprises of frontman and bassist James Cook, guitarist Matt Cocksedge and Richard Boardman, who plays a multitude of instruments, while drummer Dan Hadley is their fourth member.
Formed from the thawed puddle of a previous band called Snow Fight In The City Centre, this four-piece have aligned themselves with the canon of New Order as they sprinkle cheeky electronics over emotionally ragged songs. As the band say themselves, “We see it as our job to put dance music back on the map. We want to make music for massive warehouse parties.”

    • We will next year. TDCC have a European tour lined up right after and turned us down for SG.
